I called Captain Pips. They had no idea what the heck I was talking about so I'll have to wait for Brooks to get down there next week I guess.

    Interesting info Rik.

I have not seen another full canopied Lavey so I'm not sure it actually is in production, and if not, then they would have stayed true to the deal.

I'll get Jeffs take on this next time I see him.

Take a look at the 28' Evo, and the 39' Evo. Cut the top off but they are the same looking to me.

Those are "half" canopies. No top or back.
I suppose it could be considered a lift.

Every story has 3 sides, it will interesting to hear Jeffs.

Im taking the engine out of my Sebring for a Fresh up this winter so Ill be spending some time in the shop.

Top off, top on whatever. The screens are made by shields, the glass shape came from Skater. That is their story not mine. I'm sure they can eloaborate on this.

In the end, it is what it is.

Laveycraft will make a full canopy single engine boat for anybody that wants one. The svl raceboat is NOT a one off boat. They have a deck mold with the canopy all built in. When the plug was originaly tooled, the canopy was purchased directly from Peter at Skater and all intentions were to use the skater canopy as the final canopy for the boat and Peter was informed from the start and helped throughout the build. So it's not like he was left in the dark and Lavey "stole" his design...

The Lavey 28' svl is the same exact bottom as the 2750 and is even made in the same exact bottom mold. The 28' evo is also the same exact bottom and same deck mold as the svl, it is just inserted in order to be an open top/half canopy... Overall length of the boat is 28' 8'
Lavey's svl/evo with an Ilmor 710 and Imco drive will run 100-105 mph...

Also, the 39' EVO however is completely different canopy than the 28... It was designed all in house under Lavey's roof...

I hope I cleared some things...

    I'll include some pics...
