08-20-2014 09:40 PMThanks for the welcome. We are doing everything but the glass work, we are really happy to get this boat! We were originally looking at getting an older cruiser to leave in a well, and keep our AT. My brother happened to know the owners, just in the right place at the right time for a change. We both really like the boat, looking forward to getting it done and using it next year!

08-20-2014 09:40 PMVery nice. Looks like you got a good place to get-ur-done after Dave does the transom. By the time i heard about this you already secured it. Can't wait to hear what that thing runs all together. Congrats Andy

08-20-2014 10:11 PMThanks ab, we originally contacted Dave to do the work. He mentioned he was going to the St Clair Races, if I picked him up he would come by and check it out. I called him the Saturday of Boyne and left a message, then called again first of the week and left another message. To this day I have never heard back from him. I had no choice but to go elsewhere. I had 2 others lined up to look at doing the work before I ever brought it home, never heard back from them either? Maybe I should change Deoderants HeHe!

08-20-2014 10:53 PMThanks jdoss, going to leak down the engines and determine if the short blocks need gone through. New valve springs, lifters and a valve job for sure. Clean and flow the injecters, not sure on any mods yet. Go though the transom assemblies, just get a good look at it while its apart to see what it needs.

08-21-2014 07:03 PMab, I haven't forgot about you. I am still trying to find the link or # for the one with twins. It's a Lake St Clair boat, I haven't seen it out recently either. I'm workin on it.

08-22-2014 05:59 PMNo that's not the one I saw, that looks like it'll Rub Out though! Is that the one that hit a dock or seawall this summer? Is it for sale for sale?

Congrats on the boat. I remember looking at it in 2008 at the factory. I really wanted trips but couldn't put the deal together. Any reason for the transom to be bad? Was it left in the water or intrusion??

08-23-2014 11:22 AMWe think is was intrusion, the boat never sat in the water. When we had it running we saw reversion where the mufflers slid over the tailpipes. It was spraying the transom above the transom assembly, also when they drilled the holes for the airlines to the mufflers the holes weren't sealed off. Should know more when as it comes apart.

08-23-2014 02:02 PMFrom the pic it looks like its well above the water line. The key would be to get ahold of it before it sits too long.
