10 Of The Healthiest Beers You Can Drink

    Yuengling FLIGHT
From America's oldest brewery comes Yuengling FLIGHT, the Pennsylvania company's latest reduced calorie, reduced carbohydrate beer. As with other extra light lagers, Yuengling smells and tastes a bit sweet, like corn and apples. But FLIGHT takes wing when its solid malt base mixes with "notes of lemon peel, a grind of white pepper, and a note of dried flowers [to] give the otherwise cracker-crisp beer a light lift," wrote Christopher Null of Drink Hacker.

Thanks to its clean, refreshing taste and ample carbonation, FLIGHT goes down easy. So easy, it might shock you as it did a reviewer on Beer Advocate: "Being an IPA drinker [...] FLIGHT caught me by surprise. For me, it is the most satisfying light I have ever tasted." Another reviewer warned, "Before I knew it, I had downed six while mowing the grass." Whether you're working or relaxing, choosing a healthy beer like FLIGHT means you can down a few fizzy drinks without paying for them later.

It's pretty good....But the normal Yuengling Light is anywhere from 3.5 to 4.2 (depending on the batch) and is slightly cheaper.

Normal YL is 99 calories and 3.2 carbs. (Vs. 95/2.6) The difference between these two beers is mostly marketing.

So the best light beer is marketing only? Not really any better for you?

All Bobcat would have to do is drink one less regular that day, 11 instead of 12, and he'd be way ahead?.......

So, in general most beers are about $1.25 to $1.50 each can/bottle when purchased by the case. When sitting in a bar down here in the Keys most beers are anywhere from $5 to $8 each. F*ck that for me personally. My wife doesn’t complain too much about it but then again she only drinks 4 or 5. Rant over.

This is why many people don't drink beer.

    Opting instead for whisky.

    Bobcat's wishing he were there.......

The Actual Beer Tsunami that Swept Through London

While the idea of beer flooding the streets sounds like the one big party, it can be pretty terrifying. This is exactly what happened in London in 1814 when up to 323,000 gallons of beer created a mini-tsunami that flooded the streets.

Between October 17th and 19th, there were hundreds of stories of people collecting beer from the street and undoubtedly lots of indicators of publicly drunk behavior.

Around one hour after George Crick reported the ring slipping, the vat burst wide open, and the great London Beer Flood began. The force of the beer pouring out opened another vat right next to the one that had burst open, which meant that two beer vats were now pouring into the streets. As soon as the beer burst out of the vat, it quickly destroyed one of the brewery’s rear walls. The ensuing wave was 25 feet tall and two bricks thick. Once the beer left the brewery, it swept onto New Street in St. Giles, destroying two houses and damaging two others.
