No. Not that bad. I paid $299 plus shipping and transfer. I can tell you who I got it from and they will send you one, too. Nice lil gun shop in Texas. Retail is $419 but street price is more like low 300s.
The Glock .380 is going to be the G42. The LC9s has a similar (but smoother IMO) trigger (But also striker fired) and is more concealable than the G43. The square back end of the slide can really print. I have a Beretta 9mm that I love. Too big. I wanted a Kimber 9mm, but they sucked. I thought I would get a Glock 43, but I ended up with the LC9s anyway. I shot all three... the G42, G43 and the LC9s. I already have an LCP 1.0, and I hate it. It sucks. Hardcore. Freaking 14 pound trigger that breaks as it touches the back of the frame, after having started at the front of the trigger guard. F that. But the LC9s cures everything. I bet the LCPII is nice, if you want .380. The problem with .380 is that there are only a couple rounds in .380 that actually pass the FBI ballistic penetration test for self defense. I have them in my .380. Hornady Critical Defense, I think. While I figured this all out for 9 months, I carried that .38 SW. But I'm switching to the LC9s for a while.
Hickok 45 on youtube has a nice LC9s video. He casually reaches out and dings steel plates at some surprising distances for a compact carry pistol. Like 75 feet or something. Maybe farther. They are real sights, and the trigger is really nice.
Congrats on the Mossberg. Use it in good health.
