Sweet. I am thinking about buying it just to put in my yard and make the neighbors wonder.

Boy, would that put the boat in perspective for them.

(First day at Cessna ground school)
"So, fund, what is it that made you interested in learning to fly?"

"Well, I have always kind of been interested."

"And it's cheaper than offshore boating."

    "Oh, and I have a MIG 21."

Plenty of luggage space in the nose and superb supersonic capabilities. Sounds like a great little commuter plane.......

Is it legal to break the speed of sound over US territory?

1919 The U.S. Navy Subchaser SC 203 found the wreckage of the Spanish passenger liner Valbanera on Half Moon Shoals. The liner had last been sighted on Sept. 9, when it was turned away from Havana Harbor because of hurricane winds. No trace was ever found of the more than 300 passengers and crew of the ship, making the Hurricane of 1919 one of the deadliest storms to hit the United States.

They have an airspeed limit. Under 10,000ft its max of 250knots, forget what it is above but supersonic is not allowed in American airspace. I was on the Concorde once and we had to wait until international airspace to break the sound barrier.

1931 Capt. Eddie Sanders of the shark fishing boat Holland brought in 36 sharks for the Ocean Leather Co. The catch, made with a 300-foot net, was mostly nurse sharks. The day before, Sanders had brought in 26 sharks. The shark's skin was used for leather, the livers were for codfish oil and the fins sold for shark fin soup.

Why are shark livers used for codfish oil? I always figured it was made with codfish.

1894 A hurricane that had traveled the length of Cuba passed over Key West, where winds were clocked at 104 mph and caused slight damage.

1934 Henry Ogden caught a Jewfish from Porter Dock at the north end of Duval Street that measured 7 feet and 2 inches long and weighed 485 pounds.

1955 Gardner Cowles, president of Look Magazine, and his associate, David Salzman, bought a 182.5-acre tract on Cudjoe Key for $83,000.

1998 Hurricane Georges, a Category 2 hurricane, swept across Key West and the Lower Keys, causing moderate damage mostly to trees in Key West.

1906 John Lowe Jr. had wholesale and retail lumber, groceries, ship chandlery and marine railway at the corner of Greene and Elizabeth streets.

1933 The Army denied published reports that it intended to abandon Fort Taylor and the Key West Barracks.

1936 The Interstate Commerce Commission approved a request by the Florida East Coast Railroad to abandon the Overseas Railroad. This action cleared the way to build a highway over the old bridges

1955 The Key West motel price war reached a new high (or low) when eight motels posted signs offering free rooms to tourists.

1963 Roger A. Foster, who was accused of murdering Douglas Trevor and his son Edward on the charter boat Dream Girl, was adjudged insane and committed to the state mental institution. He would later be judged competent and tried and convicted for the murders.

1955 Two Navy airmen on watch escaped injury when a small but violent tornado struck Boca Chica Naval Air Station, tore two occupied blimps from their moorings and blew them a half-mile into the mangroves. Both airships were badly damaged.
