Last coat or polyurethane on the console. Sanded, sanding sealer, sanded, 2nd coat sanding sealer. Sanded, 1st coat polyurethane, sanded, 2nd coat poly, sanded 3rd coat poly, sanded 4th coat poly, Work this weekend, Monday I will do a final sanding then the carbon wrap. I have the wrap layed out on the floor in the den to relax the roll over the weekend so I won't have to fight it as much putting it on. Also have a pint of 3M wrap adhesion promotor/primer.

finishing the console, the rear cupholder, throttle/shifter and step plates still need to go on. Dropped the base for the throttle/shifter off at the chromers today. Now to flip it over and start cutting, crimping and shring wrapping.

Only big event planned this year is BT. All this fancy stuff etc. just doesn't come cheap. If all goes good with the motor build next winter I may screw around with class 6 in st claire or something, just to wipe a boat race off the bucket list.

Not teh best picture, but to mount the uhpolstered panels, I didn't want screw heads poking up under the vinyl. So I made a fixture to hold the screws in the lathe without damaging the threads, and cut the heads off. Next I applied red loctite and screwed on the T nuts. Then I swedged the T nuts to the screws on 4 sides with the arbor press and finally double peened the threads at the surface of the T nut. Probably overkill but nothing worse than something coming loose where you need to pull half the boat apart to get to it and tighten it back up.
