10-14-2009 04:46 PMGenerally speaking, I think Guys will be an unofficial home base sort of speak, but I think we could certainly plan something on Thursday for Friday (and subsequent nights).

Maybe we can start an SOS Twitter page where the official SOS diplomat can post the daily decisions. anyone game for that? (I have been way too busy to get involved with Twitter.)

I am just as opposed to Tweeting as anyone else. However, it might be a good, temporary way for the SOS group to be aware of what "thr group" is doing.
Brenda and I have a room overlooking the water at the Hyatt on Front Street. If we have a good enough view, I'd like to invite SOS members to join. Also, if SOS declares a place for everyne to meet-up, we could just use Twitter (if the Twitter system can also blast a text to our phones.)
Alternatively, we could start a thread the weekend and save it as a favorite on our iPhones, Smartphones.
I'd be happy to quarterback the SOS coordination if people can feed me the intel.

10-15-2009 03:32 PMEat and drink? You mean Key West has food? Who knew.
Here are your crucial watering holes, in the order in which they should be visited, starting at 6 p.m.:
1. Hog's Breath Saloon—Good starter bar, lower profile and out of the Duvall madness. Good place to formulate an evening game plan.
2. Sloppy Joe's—Can be tough to get the attention of the bartenders, but tip big out of the gate and you're good to go. Loud, crowded and just what you need.
3. Irish Kevin's—By now you're feelin' it, so why do a little singing (OK, yelling)?
4. The Red Garter—Where else can you get a slice of pizza and a lap dance in one stop?
By now it's close to 4 a.m. You should go to bed. After all, the first offshore race starts in seven hours.
