Even with the CNC there is a lot of cleanup like the undercutting along the ridges on the deck.

Love Pantera's warranty.
Cut and past from there web-site.
"We offer a life-time warranty on our glass work to our original Pantera
boat owners whether the boat is used for racing, pleasure, or
establishing record runs as we have done in the past ( Miami To New
York in 1978 )".
When I bought a new Cig, I got 1 year!

Steve, I would like to thank you for this post. Aside from the political drivel and general jackassery that goes on around here, post like these are what makes Serious what it is. Despite differing views on politics and the obligatory ball busting, we are about boats. As a charter member I can say on behalf of the board that we have great respect for your craftsmanship and knowledge, and appreciate you taking the time to post the information and pictures.
Thank you.P-4077 "The Swamp" S.B.Y.C. and Michigan medboat mothership

01-30-2010 04:09 PMOutstanding Steve. It is so nice to see you put up the kind of stuff I know you can do Performance Boat wise.
As so many have said, the "debates" are sometimes over the top. But so is your boat work, in a exemplary manner......
Can't wait to see more....Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

Steve, as one of the founding members here, I would also like to thank you for taking the time to tell the story, post the pictures, and share your knowledge.
This type of info and history are one of the things we really wanted to capture from the early days when this site was merely a discussion and an idea.
There is also the goofball side of it, but we truly love this stuff.
Thanks for participating."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

01-30-2010 04:09 PMWere the strakes made wider than the CNC plug?
-
01-30-2010 04:24 PM
The CNC Plug had 2" wide Strakes and yes that needed addressed, now if it was just that,Well no big deal piece of 1/2" material or whatever on top of the strake and back into the deadrise and we are Good to go,But someone had tried to correct this with pieces of foam putty and whatever was around on the side of the Strakes no less, which Necessitated a lot of rework from me.
