    Just in case.....
Omertà is a popular attitude and code of honor, common in areas of southern Italy, such as Sicily, Calabria, and Campania, where criminal organizations like the Mafia, 'Ndrangheta, and Camorra are strong. A common definition is the "code of silence". In English, it is often rendered omerta, without an accent, leading to frequent mispronunciation. This grave accent in Italian and Sicilian indicates that the final a is stressed.

Omertà implies “the categorical prohibition of cooperation with state authorities or reliance on its services, even when one has been victim of a crime.”[1] Even if somebody is convicted for a crime he has not committed, he is supposed to serve the sentence without giving the police any information about the real criminal, even if that criminal has nothing to do with the Mafia himself. Within Mafia culture, breaking the oath of omertà is punishable by death.

When you have a 4 year old manufactures F1 boat racing against a brand new on and they are the same...it evens the playing field...

I wish F1 and F2 were still around......
They would still be a strong, (if not the strongest), fleet had MercRacing not forced everyone to change to the new product they were selling that year. I know for a fact that some of you in this discussion took part in the Ft Lauderdale meeting, and agreed that there are a number of good options for spec racing engines. When everyone in those meetings agreed and an unbiased company other than Mercracing was selected, offshore racing hit a brick wall built by none other than... Mercracing.
I believe the Supercat guys had just agreed on a power package for their class as well, (hint; not Mercracing).
Soon afterwards, OSS was born. By the way, only one power was allowed in OSS. Hint- they were all black.

We are hoping, in an effort to bring back all the Vee lites sitting on trailers, that we will be able to work out the technicalities involved to allow other engine packages. Obviously, we are in no position to dictate engine pkgs if we want 12-15 boats on the course. We have to start somewhere.

It would be a good start....Dave S. at Inovation told me they had over 30 eninges sitting there.....I even talked to him on GM working on a program with the New Series with the Joke boats.....and with Ian and Ray wanting to get more of there engines out there....it might just open the door for all the SVL guys to race against each other.....
