08-24-2009 08:37 PMthat place already had a bad reputation, yet a ton of people still go to what they call the gauntlet. What you have is a lot of young people in the hot sun that can't hold their liquor. They drink from beer and booze bongs all day, they do shots, bring out blenders you name it. Guys are yelling trying to get girls to show their boobs, girls do, their guys get pizzed, you have people throwing Frisbees, footballs, beads, people getting hit in the head, jerks and drunks that don't respect you boat, they either approach at ramming speed or when they leave untie your boat and leave it floating. It's actually amazing that more trouble does not happen out there. The coast guard boats are out there a lot but they can't be everywhere all the time.

A nice picture group of one guy grabbing a girl by the head and another pulling back to punch her.

As a person who has been in one to many fights (work and other) it's very easy to sit back and say what you should have or would have done while watching a video.
I Think things happened quick and the guys on "Summer House" just did not expect things to escalate as fast as they did. "Just caught off guard" as you say..
Read the whole thread on themoot.net ... the one guys chick was posting, or shall I say pooping off only digging her boyfriends grave for the cops reading..
Girly 1278 start reading her crap.. http://themoot.net/index.php?showtopic=34616&st=30

If I was there I would have LOVED to have on of those police remote taser guns and have tased a few of those @$$holes while they were sopping wet climbing on my boat.
My friends and I used to get in fights like that when were between 17-25 ish, but cmon, once you hit 40 its time to lay off the roids, get a job, and CHILL on the water. Make some of those douchbags work 80 hrs a week and see how much energy they have come saturday afternoon to wrestle around and throw karate kicks at helpless fat guys and drunk chicks.

I will admit though, the karate kick to the throat was pretty good. lol

A couple years ago after the Cumberland Run, we did the "optional" card stop at 76 Falls on a friends boat. The number of boats and crazy drunk people...
I was getting uncomfortable, I just felt that at any second something bad could break out, and I didn't want to wind up in the crossfire.
You could actually feel tension in the air.
I'm a pretty laid back guy, and more laid back after a few beers.
I quickly realized that this wasn't my kind of atmosphere anymore, if it ever was."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

08-24-2009 11:04 PMI went to the zoo on a class trip in the 4th grade. I have a vivid recollection- a bunch of monkeys were beating off and throwing their $hit at each other. I've been to the zoo a couple of times since and what I have to assume are new monkeys (not really knowing the average lifespan of a monkey) were doing the same. I can only assume that this is typical monkey behavior, although I'll admit my exposure to monkeys is somewhat limited. So every time I see monkeys, I remember they beat off and throw $hit. I avoid monkeys for that very reason.
It took ten seconds of seeing the guys on the boat to know where this was going. I've seen more than just the monkeys in action...
