10-29-2013 09:17 AMThere are several debond materials out there that soften 5200. I've never heard of one being better or worse than others. Some of them are debond 2000, Anti Bond, Marine Formula by Debond Corp, etc. I'd just try whatever your local marine supply store carries.
Is the 5200 thick enough to where there is room to put a heated razor or knife between the platform and hull? (Or a hot piano wire/fishing line wire leader)? If so, you can saw it off first then remove the 5200 with the debond material.Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!
