02-11-2010 07:34 PMIf an SBI boat runs in Biloxi they will be awarded pionts acording to how they finish against any other SBI boat in that class. Nothing new same as we have done in the past this isnt rocket science. Most of us in SBI have ran Avg lap speed so again nothing new to us, not rocket science. I think most of the OSS and SBI P class boat have GPS alot of them if not all ran KW, so if OSS decides to us GPS i'm sure all the teams will also be fine with that and ready to go.

My apologies Mike, I thought with the press release, that these issues were already thought of. Let me know when it is finalized as I have two completely different setups between GPS and avg speed racing and would like to start testing with whatever OSS decides.
This is a great thing for offshore, congrats to Billy, JC, and Mr Mares for putting this together!!!

may be OSS Pro Am could adopt the SBI p class rules? That would eliminate all the double scoring and classes. OPA guys have proven that they can easily adapt to those rules too. Just a thought.

02-12-2010 12:21 PMIf u look at it point wise,,,it really does not matter !!!!!!
You are not racing against the OSS boats, only for your points against registered SBI boats !!!! So a P-4 Boat stays a P-4 boat !? ( 85 MPH max , which is about 80 MPH avarage .) mmmmhhh
Why would somebody make it complicated if it is not ???!!!!

02-12-2010 12:54 PMThey are not scored diffrent !!!!!! READ the press release again !!!!!
The team that races with the other org is going to be scored by that org. But the points for that team will go torward the org u are reg with !!!!!
So lets say 5 OSS boats and 3 SBI boats race in a OSS event , the Sbi boats get 6+7 place ,,u get point in SBI for 1st and 2nd !!!!!
Just not a trophy !!!!!!
This is my understanding ?!
Just as simple as that.Last edited by DAREDEVIL; 02-12-2010 at 06:12 PM.
