Hopefully less than a million dollars!
We'll see. When I saw your motor the other day, I was like "I need that!", but I don't really feel like spending my way there... It's going to depend on whether I need new pistons or not. If I do, then I'm going forced induction of some sort. If not, then I'll probably stick with NA.

I always wonder how our boats would be in salt water Adam .... with the extra bouyancy
In the video stills shown above I have five adults on board with 3/4 tank of fuel but only a 90 gallon tank.
I like the 26 Bravo I four blade a lot but will be testing a Maximus 5 blade in July which should be interesting with more lift.Last edited by Mikeb4; 06-04-2009 at 10:04 PM.

The newer F1 boats (Mike's and Adam's) have to be WAAAAY lighter than full pleasure (hee hee) 28s. Pepe told me that if I wanted my boat to really run, I'd need to cut the cabin out and lighten up the nose. I honestly thought about doing a "cover girl" on it and removing the V-berth... which is why I decided to sell it before I ruined a really nice boat!

I was going to say the same thing about the weight of the race set up.

Race set up are approximately 800 pounds lighter than the full pleasure configuration. No cockpit liner, no cabin, lighter engine hatch, etc. etc.

Thanks Jo. When I stop by maybe we can talk about plans for the old C-69. I'm guessing she's a tank compared to your new boats, but I'd like to work on set up with you guys... I'm no fool (well...), I want to get some suggestions from the guys who actually know what they're talking about when it comes to these boats!

I would be really interested in hearing how the 5 blade works out. I think a labbed 26p 4 blade bravo would be ideal on my boat especially with the tunnel ram. I would like to get a few more rpms.
just too cheap right now to shell out the cash. Plus I am buying a house, a dog and another gun...lol.

Jo thinks it may work well but best with some diameter taken out, stock may be too much. I really focus on fast cruise most of the time so it could be good, if not I will fall back to the 26 B1. I have a low RPM torque motor that HP peaks at 5200.
Also I don't seem to need more bow lift even with the light cabin work and elevated X position, but the five blade may help me confirm this.:coolgleamA:Last edited by Mikeb4; 06-08-2009 at 04:01 PM.

I like these and awful lot too... And you know, California is a big state. Gotta keep it local!
