Happy Bday Ponch!!!
Free Denny's breakfast...
My first job was at a Denny's when I was 16.
I still love a breakfast there.
We used to hit Denny's at 2:30 am after hitting the bars...
"2 eggs over-easy, 4 bacon, extra crispy hashbrowns, and white toast"
When I was halfway through that, and the server came back to check if you needed anything, I would order another plate exactly the same.
Hmmm, maybe I'll have breakfast for dinner tonight..."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

Thanks!!!! Its a free grand slam breakfast on your birthday. I liked it better when it was any meal on the menu. Not sure if American Denny's still does it. In Arizona around 1995 they did the free meal. Went to two Denny's for lunch and dinner.

I worked there in ~86/87. And yeah, it was any meal free on your birthday.
I was there for about a year while in HS.
During the summer I worked the 11pm to 7am shift (which wasn't legal because I was under 18).
Good times!!!
And I did pretty well with the waitresses...
I also ate well! The cooks and I became buddies, and they would cook a "mistake" for me.
I remember having a Chicken dinner, a Steak &shrimp, and a breakfast all in one night.
Not exactly like eating at Morton's or Ruth Crist, but pretty good to a teenage guy making $4 an hr.
I was 17, and very athletic, and involved in playing in a rock band.
Today, that would be enough food to get me through 3-4 days."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

My first job was in a unisex clothing store chain here called Club Monaco, one step up from Old Navy and just below Ralph Lauren. Mostly chicks working, did well with them. Christmas was awesome because they hired 20 to 30 hot chicks. It was a blast!!!!! My parents have a tradition of taking you out anywhere you want for your birthday. Morton's was closed down here, Ruth Chris is 3hrs away in Seattle. A place here called Hy's is closed for renovations. So decided to do all you can eat sushi.

An hour to go until dinner!!! Gas is currently $1.25 per liter, in 1999 it was about 60 cents per liter.

Dinner done!!! During dinner my Dad started feeling ill, he went to lay down in the car. So I had to eat mine and his. He came back and had some ice cream, he was o.k. But eating my portion and his has me way over stuffed. Don't think I'll need to eat tomorrow.

So, the wife (still in Minnesota) is going golfing today.
She has never golfed in her life.
She is borrowing clubs.
Not sure what she's doing about shoes.
The gal she is going with wanted to shoot 18, but I suggested she just shoot 9.
I wish I could get video of this!
And for her sake, I hope there are plenty of beer carts."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

Hi Ho's! Football season has my brother taking over my TV.
S500 and 420SEL have that gauge. Both are also more fuel efficient then the Cayenne.
He likes it, but he orders more cooked Japanese food.
Golf is a tough game to learn. Grew up in a house on a beach and when the tide would go out it would leave mud flats for about a mile. My back yard was like my own private driving range. Got good at that part. Putting is my weak area.

Almost forgot. Thinking of trying those electronic cigarettes and get off regular ones.

I golfed for one, maybe two years.
It just got frustrating, and expensive.
That's when I switched to boating. It's cheaper and not frustrating - nothing ever breaks... (insert sarcasm...)
I tried the E-cigs when I was in the hospital (you could use one in the hospital).
If you dedicate to it, I think it'll work.
For me, I'm down to less than half a pack per day. Just have occasional desire for one, and usually only smoke a half cig at a time.
I suppose it wouldn't be that difficult for me to flat out quit. I just haven't committed to it."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

Pack a day habit here. So thinking e smokes is less harmful. Japan has auto auctions with most cars going cheap. Here you can import anything 15 years or older, they don't have to meet our crash or emission standards. 89 560SL with 56K kilometers sold for $6K.
