You have one year to get ready for a 100 mile run from Key West next November 2009.
Am I reading that as in KW-Bimini-KW? I don't see it listed on your site under races?

I'd love a ride if anyone has a spot for some green stuff (not like this but the real green stuff)

There are TONS of threads on OSO regarding the history of the boats, and the rough story of how the business ran throughout it's years. Great stuff if you have LOTS of time.
Even I don't have that much time! LOL- was looking for a Cliff Notes version

Steve's boat, Apache Warrior, is/was a legend in our area. The engines were tunnel ram 750's and the boat ran upper 70's. It wasn't the fastest boat but when it was big no one could keep up with him.

When I got a call a few months ago from my buddy Billy saying that he heard from Steve that my Apache was beating up on the big boys back home I was real happy!! Even though we weren't beating up on the big boys it was good to hear the rumor mill made its way down to Steve.

The boat is currently being restored and the paint job is completely gone...which for me is a shame because some people I know painted it in a barn in Freehold... Looks like it was painted outdoors so hopefully it looks good

What a great read, I have only had the pleasure of seeing 1 Apache in person AWESOME boat it was parked at Cantu's upholstery shop in Seneca IL early spring 2006, I had just purchased a Sunsation288mcob and was pretty overwhelmed with the size since our last one was a 20 ft Crownline and felt like it would have fit in the bow of the Sunny, That is till I had to park the Sunny at Cantu's next to the Apache ours looked like a toy next to the Apache I don't know who's it is but she was sweet.
    Someday someday.

How it burned? I know it was incredibly detailed! I couldn't imagine how much it would cost $$$$ for McManus to build you one like it!!

I heard that the fire was caused by a battery charger. I have no idea as to who the owner was.
