I thought Pantera aquired the 38 Signature mold, only made a couple of hulls?? I'm sure Joe or Pepe will respond...
It would look much better without the "roll bar".

As I recall, that's a Pantera built off the signature molds. I thought I'd seen it for sale a year or two ago and I though the current owner may have posted over on the other boat site a few times. Crazy lookin' boat!

    LOL good answer

it does look like a Sig in the rear I took the pics at the Black Thunder plant

They had taken the boat in trade and werent sure what to do with it

back then would have cost me $25,000 without power on the trailer

I was real close to making a $20,000 offer and taking the thing home

Now i wish I would have would have been interestign to say the least

Pepe did a lot of way cool things in the old days, he also had an enclosed cockpit on one boat.

Yes, that was the Supercharger Systems race boat. It did come from the original Signature 38' mold and was powered by a pair of Gellner 1100 HP Supercharged engines with # 6 drives. My Father and I built (4) 38s from that mold in the early 90s.

3 went overseas and this boat stayed here in the U.S.. I raced with Dale the owner ( 2 ) races in 1995 and took a 2nd and 3rd with it in Modified Class at the time.
