04-07-2014 04:35 PMUnfortunatly I didn,t do much work on the boat ... I really don,t know how to find the time to finish the last things ,I think I,m going to put her in the water next month whether she,s ready or not ,and see if it all works as planned .
I will make a video and post here

06-17-2014 04:56 PMI have a video made by a friend that was on the water were we tested the boat ,I need to find out how to upload it here .
This is the first time the boat was in the water ,I ran the engines while the boat was still sitting on the trailer for 10 min each ,and tested the transmissions in forward and reverse .
It all worked as it supposed to,so we pushed the boat of the trailer so we could drive her thru the marina ,first gear was 7 mph with both engines engaged ,little too fast ...according a few sailboat owners ...haha
So I pushed the throttles after we went out of the harbour ,and got the boat in plane at +-20 mph ,and the Arnesons fully down ,trimmed the drives up a bit and some more throttle ,at 2800 rpm and +- 45 mph I shifted up to 2 th gear, and rpm dropped about 400 ,and I pushed the throttles at max 2900 rpm ,and full trim she did 61 mph .
It was clear that the props were too big ,as the engines need to turn 3300 rpm , I had these 19 inch diameter 4 blade ,and 26 pitch nibral props that are semi surface piercing, and the only other props I have are 6 blade rolla,s surface piercing 21 1/4 x 28 ,I have not tried these ,as I think the engines will stall when I put them in gear ...
Next plan is to take off one inch in diameter of the 19 inch ,so they become 18 ,and see what happens with Rpm and speed .
Thankfully it all went ok, and no bad things came up !
I keep you guys informed about the downsize in diameter .

06-18-2014 07:42 AMThat is awesome!!
I do not know how to post a video other than to post it on YouTube or similar, then link/embed the video to Serious. I believe that is the only way.Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

06-19-2014 08:55 AMYes indeed, it looked very good in the video (and in the pics). The attitude of the boat looks proper too. You should be pleased at this point. I can't wait to hear the next set of numbers with the smaller prop.

07-21-2014 02:47 PMThanks guys ,I just got back from holiday in Malta ,I got 2 more weeks now ,and the weather is going to be good here ,so hopefully I,m going to look if the smaller diameter will help spinning up the engine rpm,s .
