Man bitten by 4-foot lemon shark
A Cape Coral man was airlifted to Miami Thursday with a severely injured hand after being bit by a 4-foot lemon shark, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Deputy Becky Herrin said.
Walter Kefauver, 58, and his nephew caught the shark using barracuda as bait from a flats boat near Snipes Point, Herrin said. They had landed it on the boat and were trying to remove the hook when it bit Kefauver's left hand, near the wrist. His nephew called 911 and brought him to Shark Key boat ramp, where paramedics were waiting. Kefauver was taken to Lower Keys Medical Center before being airlifted. The injury was not life threatening, but the damage to his hand required specialized care, reports said.

I don't think I would stick my hand in a live sharks mouth, or if I did I would stick something bigger and harder than my hand in it first
