I had a 25' A.T. and at 80mph that thing would start to chine walk that would scare me, be careful man!

07-24-2011 11:48 AMThat actually looks fairly stable at that speed.
I just bought a 2" shorty IMCO for our Marlin, we'll see how it works out in a couple weeks. Everyone I've chatted with says the IMCO will improve handling dramatically.Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

80,81 seems to be the chine dance # for all the 26'and under w/ the stock X
i had a 90 Eliminate Daytona 25 that acted the same way, at 80 w/ a little throttle left, but it was a handful i decided to leave the rest of the throttle for someone else.
Besides that, at 81 you needed a helmet to keep your face from deforming ,it hurt after 45 secs or so. your cheeks try to delam.Last edited by TUCK646; 09-23-2012 at 11:18 PM. Reason: who meż

I also had a Baja 235 in heavy dvx trim w/ stock X that went 76 and felt fine,no different than 66.

09-24-2012 10:35 PMThe shorty took almost all the chine walk out of the Marlin at 80+. But, it now does some other goofy things. Especially when slowing down a bit too quickly.
