I`m gonna pick these up ... you know to keep the noise down when coming back to Marina Shores so I don`t wake up Cruiser John .. them Cruiser folks go to bed like what 8pm?
It would also be nice to be able to hold a conversation with passengers on the way out to the Lake without having to repeat myself a 100 times
Anyone have experience with em? Seems like a cool product, spring operated, muffled at idle, no muffler at anything above plus no airlines to run or holes to drill..

Dan, Ive had a set of those. They are a simple design, and look cool installed. However, dont expect a drastic noise reduction. They help take some of the bark out though.
Nice thing about them too is they stay closed at rest, and prevent any backwash up the pipes. Air mufflers sometimes leak air over time, and then the flappers open when air leaks out. Then you can get water up the pipes.
Im on the fence about putting my air mufflers on the boat. I have a set that works REALLY well at quieting things down. These are the series I have. In my Formula at 3000RPM cruise, closing them made it sound like a mastercraft ski boat, just a nice low rumble sound. Could actually talk without shouting in the cockpit.

03-26-2012 08:54 AMDan, I will be keeping my cabin at nipply temps. I do believe you made it to bed much earlier then us most nights last week, yet we still wake up earlier. I dont mind hearing the rumble of the Baja, its the police sirens that follow that we could live without! HAHA!

I had them on my old 288....I thought they worked great....used to beat up on ToddSonic with that boat when he had his old Checkmate....LOL. If you do get new ones they will ask you for your engine information as they customize them per application....they use different springs etc. to accomplish this.

Joe- I'd have to schedule an appearance by the Don...he's the one who did the machining last time, I am not such an expert on the Bridgeport. Let me know...and it will have to be fairly soon...as my parents are going back to Italy for a month in April...
