Heard "Let's Go" by the Cars on the radio yesterday and got me thinking...
What bands are out there from the 80's that are nearly forgotten, but had great songs, and rarely get played today.
Cheap Trick also comes to mind. I think I saw them in concert 3 or 4 times.
What else ya got?

Talking Heads - good one Jim! "Psycho Killer", "And she was", and of course "Burning down the House".
This is what I'm talking about - the bands that you don't think of very often, but when you hear just one song from them it reminds you of half a dozen others."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

Donnie Iris! I can't even read that name without doing so in a Pittsburghers accent! And also without saying "... And Joe Grschecki and the House Rockers!"
Ok, so how about Triumph? Thinking of groups that were huge and have dropped off the face of the earth anyhow. Can think of a ton more that were marginal (Yngve Malmstein anyone) and forgotten.
I was listening to the Cult on the plane yesterday. And Tim you know this was coming, I've seen Cheap Trick several times as well!

The Cult still gets some air time on the radio, as does Cheap Trick. Bad Co. was more of a 70's group that broke up in the early 80's and became Powerstation.
Starting to hear some UFO now too, and ASIA.
