Can anybody identify the ram that is on this K-plane. All the diagrams show an alternative kind of ram. I need to buy a replacement or rebuild.
Thanks

07-15-2010 10:18 AMThat is the early K plane ram. They went to a one piece design in the early 90's. The new style K plane one piece ram is an exact replacement.

Do they sell a rebuild kit for the early rams, or just buy a replacement ram?

07-20-2010 02:50 PMJust buy replacements. The newer style cylinders are stronger and less corrosion prone.

I would recommend to just buy a new ram/s as well. When you rebuild a ram like this, they new seem to last and leak end up leaking. When someone orders a ram like this, measure the dia. of the mounting pins, different sizes. Also might want to replace the outside lines since you will have them off as well.
I would buy 2 of the newer style (P/N:845739a10) and call it a day. The only problem for the boat above is, they come painted black, so they will need a paint job! -Eric"We Have Everything But The Water!"
