has anyone ever had the transom redone in a 24 or any idea on what cost should be on this? I will pull motor drive and transom assembly, also want to switch to a bravo cut out.

I have a 24' Pantera, and lucky that even though it is a vintage '80, the transom is solid.
There are many threads about replacing the transom on any boat - the procedure is pretty much the same on any boat.
Tear out all the old, laminate a few layers of marine ply with a layer of glass, cut new hole...
Rick (rchevelle) just did it this summer - what more do you need to know?"Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

10-02-2010 11:33 PMThanks for posting the links guys, The most work was getting to the old one, I cut the deck off, but that 'cuz mine was an outboard with a splashwell, and wanted to reconfigure it anyway. On an I/O, you should be able to get to it from under the hatch, but it sure was nice having it wide open to work on.
