When my dad told me earlier this summer that he was buying a pontoon boat I looked at him like he had two heads. Our family has owned nothing but performance boats since the begining, so I was skeptical and mocked his manhood, telling him that he was officially over the hill. Well, after going to pick up the boat yesterday at Mohapac Marine, I will say that I was pleasantly surprised. This party machine is LOADED! While I still wish I was heading over there to pick up a 36 Sunny, I will officially admit that I enjoyed my ride on this 'toon. Thanks again to Tom and the rest of the Mahopac guys for getting this thing together with some warm weather to spare.

Thanks for all the comments guys. It's actually is a really nice setup if you are looking to sit back, relax and enjoy some food and cocktails (which my dad happens to be very good at ). I imagine the boat will be mostly used up in Lake George, but he's been talking about using it in LI Sound too (we did get a trailer for it).
We had it up around 40 mph, but we are still breaking in the motor, so we didn't leave it open for long. It actually responds well (more then I thought anyway) to trim, so we'll find the sweet spot and open her up once we get a few more hrs on the motor

We love ours. Carry an anchor 4x what we need because you know what will happen when the raft begins. We bought a cheap Monark 24 with a 60 merc that has been running perfect(except the water in the fuel ,ethanol probs this spring). Less than 5k and we are loving the "beater" boat. Hate to admit but its alot less stressfull than running the Apache. We do have a stripper pole but unfortunately no kegerator..yet.
