I just saw some old pictures of the 46' "Strip Poker". I always loved the paint but always wondered about the strange front bolsters, anyone know the story?

When I was replacing the bolsters in my 28, I asked about doing those exact seats to the guys at B-Bracket. At the time, Cigarette was outsourcing their seat bases, grab handles and I think the bolster frames but not the upholstery to them. Anyway, they talked me out of it so fast I could not believe it. I was told they are nowhere near as supportive as the normal bolsters, mainly from a lateral movement aspect. Look cool as hell, but not functional was the moral of the story. Always wondered what someone who actually has been in them thought.
