I raised the x diminsion as most of you know and now my propshaft centerline is 5" deep. Now here is the question, should I plug the top 2 or so sets of holes on the pickup? If so should I tig weld, jb weld or tap and plug with brass?

You should be fine.. If you need to brass 1/16 pipe plugs should do the trick.

An easy way to check for air would be to temporarily install a clear hose that you can extend forward to monitor for bubbles. The hose from the manifold to the riser. You want solid water no bubbles.Last edited by MOBILEMERCMAN; 04-28-2010 at 12:42 AM.

Just wanted to update the thread for future reference. With the propshaft at 5" deep the standard bravo side mount pickups work fine. I had 30psi at cruise all the way up to wot.
