aaahhh Augies Delicate sound of Thunder....actually I like it Too.
Offshore Racing wasn´t designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.

I watched this boat sit in a storage lot for over 2 years. Every time I drove by I thought, man that is one cool boat. In early December I finally stopped by and asked about it. Left my number for the owner and he called the next day. I brought it home in January.
Mike J checked the numbers and verified it was the 3rd 26 LS out of the mold. His is the 4th out. First out of the mold was the Tom Gentry boat.
Power is a 420 Mercruiser with a TRS. Pulled the engine and found the intake valve split on #7. The piece went into #8 and #5. and beat the pistons up a bit.
I'm doing a low budget quick once over just to get it back in the water this spring. I'm a nubie and a DIY'er and I'll have a lot of tech questions so have patience with me!
This is the first pic I took in December and the way I had seen it sitting for over 2 years...
Bringing it home....
Here after the first round of cleanup...
Ouch...

Glad to see you're getting into the tear down. Should be a great looking boat when you're done. just a little jealous

Ran my 38KV yesterday offshore Port Canaveral down to Sebastian and then up the ICW....really nice day and she was happy to get some "offshore time"
Leaving Port Canaveral check out the GO FAST boats on the Cargo Ship, I wonder where they are going?

That's a good question.....I want to haul her myself so I am thinking end of May. I need to find a good place to store her, some say Clear Lake Marina others say Endevour which has rack storage. I would like a lift right next to the Portofino--but no go, I do plan on having them tied up together at least once.
Ran my KV another 4 hours today! HAPPY EASTER! Could not have asked for a better day to go boating in Florida.....I ran the ICW today--had a blast!
