I swapped out the upper from my AR for this 20" SS bull barrel flat top assembly.

Why do you say "illegal"?

Must be from Cali if that is illegal. No issues with those things even in the communist state I live in. The home of Obama, and not Kenya.

Here is my most recent AR purchase. DPMS LR243-L It is basically a lightweight AR-10 in 243 Win. Carbon fiber handguard, lightweight upper etc. It is definitely a shooter! I wish I wouldn't have gotten the compensator though. A 243 with an 18" barrel and a compensator is quite the ear splitter. Sorry about the crappy cell pic.
A couple of other places to buy parts and rifles for good prices.
cmmginc.com (check out the bargain bin gun prices)
rguns.net (usually hard to beat their prices on DPMS parts)

I have an NC Star Tactical sniper series 3x9 with mil-dot lighted reticle. It is an Acog clone, but for me it works great. I have lousy eyes too and this is great for up close and has a range compensator on the top turret for .223, 55 gr shells out to 300 yards. I also have an NC Star mini red dot mounted on a ring/pic rail on top of the scope. I shoot in some 3 gun competitions and this is great for fast acquisition shots up close. Between the 2 I figure I'll hit something. Here are some links.

A good source for buying AR parts is Gunbroker.com. You just need to know your prices.

I'l seccond rguns for great prices on DPMS. Legal Tranfers in NH for anything Rock River. You can generally find much better prices for name brand parts online than at gun shows if you look hard enough.

02-17-2010 08:05 PMIn NY it is illegal to have 30 & 40 round clips if they are not pre 94'. Also, and I may mess this up, I beleive the collapsable stock and flash surpresser are illegal. It is my understanding that the stock must be pinned.

Just buy 1 of everything. Better yet, buy 10 of everything at a smokin deal and sell off the other 9 to your buddies. Its a win win for everybody.
