After spending Superbowl weekend in Key West with friends we had to boogie out of there Monday morning to catch our flights out of Ft Lauderdale. Once on the water we were able to cruise at 65+MPH. We ran both the Hawk Channel and thru the Upper Keys making it to Haulover Inlet in 2 hrs and 48 min, my best time ever. I was even able to add music !! LOL Enjoy the 3 short video clips.
Part 1 - 1 min, 12 sec.
Part 2 - 2 min, 31 sec.
Part 3 - 2 min, 25 sec.

02-09-2010 10:49 AMAwesome. I love these cruising adventures.
I took the liberty or embedding the videos for you, Bob. Hope you don't mind.
(They did block #2 though - must have a copyrighted music clip in there or something)

I had the truck and trailer meet me at Haulover Park and they hauled it back to Nor Tech. It's been a while since I cruised the Upper Keys and Biscayne Bay so it worked out fine. Nice to be able to blast along with few boats in the way. Even the fishermen in the cuts stayed out of my way.

That boat has a good looking deck
The look of the deck from the drivers seat, has always been one of those unspoken details that I notice. Some decks have weird angles, the wrong type of deck rail, cleats, or hatches that screw up the lines, just too much chit going on. The deck is the part of the boat you see the most. I like everything that HAS to be there, to be hidden as much as possible. No bow rail, hatches flush mounted & painted into the design, heavy duty popup cleats & nav lights, and no big hump or steep angles to trip or slide off of
Thanks for the vids.

I felt my right hand reaching over for the throttles during the video
