redoing my dash and have ran into a few problems, but i think they are solved. the speedo is gone and a garmin 440 in its place. thought there was more room on the dash panel on a 25' ol but theres not. the tach is 4 7/8th to the out side on the rim. everything wouldnt fit with that so a new 3 3/8th is on its way! hope do get some pic's up tonight to see what you guys think!

I spent an entire day measuring and imagining, thought I was gonna have to add a pod or somthing...
Then I spent the entire second day cutting 25 cardboard circles arranging and re arranging until I was happy... In the Jaquzi Tub Don't laugh... I do my best thinking in there. Made my head hurt.

This is what I settled on and started with.
The empty space lower left is for a Depth gage.
Not the norm but I like it. The speedo is on the far left. I rairly look at it anyway. Everyone else is always craining their neck to see it so...

did the same! 2 hr and 20 paper circles later thats what i came up with. should have just drew it the let the aoutcad guy do all the work, he redid it all anyway. all the cuts are with in 1000th of an inch. he cut it with a computer ran plasma cuter. came out realy nice. as for the speedo its gone just going to use the gps. just need some paint now also had the glov box made to match the paint.

01-25-2010 01:57 PMLooks great!
I prefer using cadd software. Visio on the low end should work to. Much easier to move stuff virtually, then take some dimensions and your done. OR, send to a machine shop with water/laser jet for finished part with no dimensioning work.

I am having the panel cut w/CNC but had to be able to give em an idea what I wanted. They'll even everything up. I don't have that kind of patients anymore to do it the old school way.
But it was a cold snowy day and I enjoyed my afternoon in the tub
