I have this set of props that I ran for the past season. They are 16.5 X 29 pitch. I could turn them @ 6100rpm's. The other set of props that I have are Merc props and are stamped 16.5 X 29's. I spin them @ 5700.
When I bought this set, I was told that they are Merc props that had been cleaned up by Bronson Hill Props.
They are stamped with the following markings:
Starboard is: W 5344
Port is: S 5469
They work great and I got a good deal on them, so I'm not complaining.....Just wondering if they are Mercs or what.
Here are a few pics..

I do believe that this is a set Merc's, as stated. I think I may have the answer your looking for.....I will investigate further in the AM.

They are Kiekhaefer series Long Hubs (mercury) props built in the late 1980's.
Yes they were reworked by Hill at one time (electro etch emblem).
Age of either set and having been reworked here or there can affect the rpm numbers.
We can put them back to standard number from the looks of them. That is if you ever decide to go that route, you Old Sea Dog!!!! HaHa Nice seeing you in Key West. Am I going to see you in Miami??
