Have you been in the boat or run the boat? I have. The Sutphen WILL run with them in the chop. You just have to know how to drive a boat. Morgan has run that boat ahead of alot of bigger boats in the chop. It's a great boat. Richie Jr can really build a boat! Even Philly commented on how nice the boats were at the Miami Boat Show. I have also been in a 22 classic Shelby Donzi and the fit and finish wasnt anywhere near the quality on the Cigarette's or Sutphen's.

i've run next to one for a couple hundred miles in KY... it's a nice boat, I like them, but your claims against the other two are unfounded, if they weren't they would have sold 20-30 of them by now, which they haven't, since neither the Donzi or Cig are currently in production.....
does Santa's sleigh have a blower ?

They are faster and have a better fit and finish than the Donzi. The boat market is awful!! Nothing is really selling. A 20 Cig or 22 Donzi doesnt run 83mph with a stock 496 HO do they? Also they can run in the chop with both boats. I was wrong about KY and I stated that. Everything else is fact though. I love the 20 Cigarette's and what Philly has done with them. They turned out great! I still cant believe Abraham has his over 100mph! The craziest though is George (I think) with the 18ft DOnzi and the Arneson running well over 100!! Insane! For the money though, the Sutphen is very hard to beat weather its a new 21 or an older 20.

that's the best deal on SOS today...
and yeah 'Nami, the Shelby Donzi quality wasn't great, that's for sure..
I had Geoo's X18 in my possession for a few months tuning it after he sold it.. it ran 124... right now it cruises at 92, 4 people, full fuel, and has 2,000 rpm left in it, on pump gas... it's just undergone an unbelievable, jaw dropping resto... it'll be back out in the spring..does Santa's sleigh have a blower ?

Heres a great shot of the bottoms of the sut and 22 classic....AND oh by the way I was in the 22 driving PAST the sut!!
Really all 3 boats are nice boats. I crawled around the sutphen in KY and ran with it(pastit ..) all weekend. Go find and few of each and drive them. You will find out for yourself how they are all different.

I was witness, this happened all event long, and this wasn't the only Donzi to get past the two Sutphens! I also agree that the Sutphens are beautiful boats with just a small touch of east coast homeliness to them. Appeared to be well constructed and the people running them were great.
'Nami, sounds like you lost the hottest girl you ever had to a guy with a Donzi! You have nothin positive to say about them, must have been a tragic experience.

Nice pic! That photo makes me question how smooth the ride would be on the Sutphen in the chop..

Sutphens usually have Surface drives.... thats one of the reasons to like them.
Offshore Racing wasn´t designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.
