How can i do this or how is it possable machining special gears/parts?

not sure about the tech stuff but i believe you have to get rid of some reverse disks or something like that.

I heared a friend of mine here talking about even 12 discs is possible but you need to do some machining.

I beileve a 32 Aerotek I know of has the 12 plate tranny...
Not a tough job to do if you got a lathe.Offshore Racing wasn´t designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.

12-20-2009 09:54 AM9 disc is pretty easy from everything I've read or those I've talked to. 11 and 12 disc is a lot tougher with machining involved.
I believe any trans shop can do the 9 swap.
How much horsepower and weight are behind the trans? I puked 2 of the 9 disc before I had Huber do mine right. 12,000 lbs, 630hp twins in the 39 Scorpion.Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

The huber 1200 series have 9 disc. Good for 1200FT lbs they say.

But i also have a light boat.
