Hey guys, I just want a little input on what props to try next year. As some of you know from other post I am raising the drive height from 8" to 5". The boat is a 236 Baja, 22deg hull, 500HP conservative, 70MPH. My best speed is with a 25 Mirage plus with double cup and lab finnish trimmed to the moon. I have about 10-11% prop slip and comes out of the hole very quickly. I have been told that the 3 blade prop will not work at 5". My first instinct is a Bravo 4 blade probably a 26 pitch. Has anyone tried anything else on this type of setup?

The current prop may still work. Probably just harder to get on plane. I would try it first. Other options would be a 24-26 Bravo 1 or REV4.

Thanks for the input. I think I will go ahead and try the Mirage and see what it does. I have several friends with varius props to try, just wanted to get a idea of what might work.

The Mirage prop worked fine at the 5" depth. Only 9.8% slip, 5200RPM, 74MPH.

I am kinda in your boat jeff. I am finally done and looking to see which prop i want to send to bblades. im gonna try my 25 mirage soon but i do like the B1 but i am told that with how deep my drive is in the water that it is not the best prop for my application.
Now recruiting Mississippi power boaters.

Jeff, try a mach 4 blade if you can find one. I liked the mach the best on my 24' as did most of my buddies with 24 outlaws. The 4 blades are where it's at for handling and ride.

Have you tried a standard Mirage? It has less cup than a Plus and you get a couple hundred more rpm. My boat likes the Mirage much better but it slips a lot more in the mid-range. FAST prop though.
