1.1 mil. street re-do, Street Dept. bagged the island, City Manager put it back in. I live up the street, drive this section to get gas every weekend to fill up boat in the summer, going to be a little tight. Can't wait for the snow plows to get around it!

Looks nice and will certainly slow the traffic.

We have something worse than that in a nearby town. Its a scaled down copy of the Washington Monument stuck right smack in the middle of a very tight intersection on a main truck route. There is street parking to the curb on both sides of both roads. If your pulling anything over 40' and the parking spots are all filled chances are your gonna snag one of the cars.

It does look nice, just not practical for a snow region.

It reminds me of all the dam round abouts they're putting in these new "trendy" subdivisions around here.....this isn't 14th century Europe. Yes, they look neat, but they're a pain in the azz and none of the blue hairs know how to operate in them!

It is pretty and made to slow down traffic. I think it is "working as designed".

    It beats a speed bump.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

I hope the car spends more time in the shop than on the road

dont even get me started on speed bumps. in my neighborhood in toronto, some dbag community planners came along and put in "traffic calmer's". they are essentially 10 foot long speed bumps at EVERY stop sign. they make no sense what so ever because people still rip down the streets. we were pulling the boat through our neighborhood the other day and the trailer definitely did not dig them.

We have 3 all on the same road, less than 2 mile span. All are two lane fed into a two lane circle. Motorcylces and kids driving fast tend to end up spun out/dead. The perimeter of the roads are lined with oak trees (most 6 inch in diameter) but they still can get someone killed or atleast bend up a car.

My wife and I raced through them one late one night (I was driving my 02 M3, she had her E500). Stoplight blast off and two wide through all three circles, M3 handled better but the E500 had the torque to pull ahead. The garage smelled like it was on fire when we got home..... She kept saying she didn't know what all the lights on the dash meant, they would flash on/off.....It was traction control/ABS/ESC......it had been awhile since she drove at Sebring!

They call them "speed tables" in St Pete.
