OK here! this is serious,,, out of 6 days on the water,,, 3 test days to get the gear ratio, x-dem ,prop size right ,,, and 3 more,, green flag race days ,,,what will be the TOTAL amount of gallons used by the DAREDEVIL RACEBOAT? Thanks, and i will cary a min. of 35 gallons on the first 2 races ( 18 miles )
and around 45 for the sunday race.
The boat just likes it since its light anyways !!!!!
Usually i figure 1 mile per gallon, is what it needs.
and 3-4's is perfect !!!!!!!!

11-06-2009 07:18 PMI hope he burns 70 gallons. I don't expect a lot of testing.. He has said before he would rather break something in the race then during a test.

In this respect, I rather be racing.
I used about 200 gal. on the 2008 Poker Run.. just to get there.
I used about 10 gal to go to lunch.Life is: what happens... when you plan something else.

DareDevil should be renamed silly putty - for many reasons.
Man, he takes a beating here, but I give him credit that he keeps coming back for more, or less.
I'm always one that roots for the underdog.
But, I'm not sure I'd get in a boat with the underdog.
Good luck Scott."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

11-07-2009 01:22 AMOffshore Racing wasn´t designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.

11-07-2009 05:55 PMYou all are riding DD pretty hard ,considering none of you ( an entire svl field ) will not be using any fuel for the worlds .
funs fun ,but the largest roster of what was an offshore organization against one guy is a little harsh . I know he earns a portion of abuse ,However I am always puzzled as to the enjoyment of 5 against 1 ,
Very ghetto .
Yea I know ( mdkeywest banned ,date lifted never )
