There went my rolemodel for a bouncer and a surfer...
My grandfather died of the same cancer, not an easy way to go.

09-14-2009 09:58 PMVery surprised he lasted as long as he did with this. Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest of all. My brother in law was diagnosed with it a couple years ago- went to see a doctor because of a stomach ache- and he was gone in three weeks.
RIP.

Interesting local story,we live on Smith Lake in Alabama.Several years ago a rumor got out that he had bought a home on the lake, but wanted it to be a secret. The rumor mushroomed over the years, kind of like Elvis sightings. He was seen at the Ace Hardware,Walmart, local restaurants and stores. At one point the locals determined he was right across the lake from us. When out of town visitors would ask,I would sometimes point out the house in jest. That was the popularity he had here, tho I never figured out how it started. A few minutes ago a neighbor called, asked me in all seriousness,if I knew what would happen to his lake house. RIP,Patrick.
