This program sounds like a tax cut to me. It wasn't targeted at me, so I think it's unfair

This is what pi$$es me off....give us a tax break and let me decide where the fvck to put my hard earned money. Give that money back to the consumer in the form of tax breaks and let each individual release those resources back into enconomy the way the best see fit for their situation.
What the fvck is this? Saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money". Well, we ran out of the 1B, now they need more? How much more of my money are they going to spend on these stupid fvcking programs?

That chick in the vid was sexy, nice rack
I'll run my 'clunker' (300K+ miles) into the ground before going through all of that.

08-05-2009 02:07 AMI saw on tv news tonight, that the American people have had enough of Obama's plans already. I was hoping to give him the benefit of my grave doubts, but he's on the verge of a revolution by the big boss: The American people.

Did I heard correctly that the metal from the clunkers (or maybe the cars themselves?) go to China?
I saw a boat once!

I hope that is not true. I wonder what the net environmental impact of this whole program is. Ok, so we get an old "clunker" off the road. Now someone gets a more fuel efficient car (who was probably going to get one anyways) and we are left with a heap of scrap metal. And one might even say that a person getting better fuel efficiency might be inclined to drive more? Blue Oval talked about a chemical kit being used to seize the engine...where do those chemicals end up? Supposedly nothing can be stripped/resold from these clunkers? Where does all of that end up? Trash? Then there is all of the fuel used to tranport these clunkers once they are seized up at the dealerships (or where ever that happens). If it is being transported across seas, we are only burning more fuel to do that....I'm sure that I am missing something here too.

Has any of the dealership people on this site seen any money transfered from the Gov't site yet?
