Anyone interested in a project? This is at a gas station about 5 minutes from my house.
I don't know anything about the boat, other than that I'm pretty sure Lucky Strike bought it new. When I first moved here, it was uncovered back where it sits now, and they shrink-wrapped it a few years ago.

06-20-2009 12:14 PMIf this is the boat in Barnegat, the guy wanted $15,000 last year. The boat was left uncovered for years. I guess he eventually shrink wrapped it. The boat is ROUGH! I believe tRainmn is right:this was Lucky Strikes boat back in the day.

I have had alphas, bravos and OMC cobras. A buddy had Volvos.
Of all of those... it looks most like mid-late eighties Cobras. But the tie bar is in a strange place. I think that the transom assembly of a Cobra and the later (post 270) volvo is the same... so could be a volvo painted black. Would love a better pic.

Correct on the Volvos, they are def. Volvos, I know the owner, and yes it was Steve Lucky Strike's boat.
Boat is a mess-and-a-half. Do a search on OSO and you'll dig up a huge thread there with many detailed pics and condition (or should I say lack there of) of everything.
As FastShafts said it sat uncovered for 5+yrs. He only shrink wrapped last year ... who even knows why at this point Very sad to see her rotting away. I told him 1000 times to cover it or store it inside ... but $$$$$$$ dictated his decisions. I would not pay more than couple grand of my money for it. I've offered him that already, cash in hand, he did not take it.
I can put you in touch or negotiate a deal for anyone seriously interested, I know the money he 'needs' out of it, call me to discuss ... It is a major project that would certainly be a nice piece come the end, but you'd easily have sunk $50K+ into her and she'd be worth $30. Chris 732-300-5222.
