Goddam deer took the front end off my truck on the way home last night. Punted the bog doe about 300 feet eastward along King road right after exiting the highway. I was amazed at how much damage it caused. The front bumper folded like a 5 dollar bill and rad is wrapped around the front of the engine block
Funny officer o the law told me that he wouldn't charge me for careless because I didn't rear end the deer but got it full on broad side. HAHA!
I have 10 grand damage to my crew cab and he thinks cracking jokes is a good thing.

You'd probably rip it in half at that speed. We responded to a car vs. deer call last summer where the deer hit the driver's side A-pillar and it literally ripped the deer in half. From the stomach to the hind legs all went inside the car, covering the entire family in blood, guts, chit, and the hind end landed in the back end of their station wagon. The inside of the car looked like a murder scene. We had to hose the guy down to determine if he was bleeding or if it was all deer blood. Luckily everyone in the car was ok, although I can't say the smell of the car ever returned to normal after that.

05-14-2009 09:57 AMI hit one about 15 years ago at 70mph on the interstate- driving a rented Ford Taurus. Never really saw the deer- I was passing a tractor/trailer and all the sudden it ran across the truck's path and popped in front of me. If I'd have had a passenger, they'd be dead.
In high school, one of my teachers hit a cow- he was driving to work and going way too fast for a foggy morning. Neither of them made it.

Man, you guys are really insensitive. Poor little animals. I love deer.
I love them in chili, I love them as saussage, I love them as burgers... Mmmm, I sure do love deer!
In college, one of my buds was driving up RT104 and had a deer run out of the woods, turn sharply and run next to his car for about 5 seconds before the deer cut back into the road, ramming the side of his Renault Appliance. Deer 1, Winter car 0.

I've hit two 6 pt bucks over the last several years. The last one did a lot of damage to my Z71 truck, blowing out the front window. Did over $6000 worth of damage and I was without the truck for 5 weeks.
He hit the passenger door where the front meets the back door, flew up and over the hood, his antlers blew out the window and up and over the roof he went. I remember stopping and opening my eyes, watching glass falling from them.
Fortunately a cop was heading the opposite direction and was right there. Talk about sore. I was sore for 2 days from the jolt of him hitting the truck.
I hate deer. Except like Dude said, love it in chili, hamburgers etc.Queen of Bammin'
