Just a thought.
I've been on several boats that had "a personality"
Several that had a "bad attitude"
Some that loved the owner, and compensated for driver error.
Do certain boats just need to be revived?
We all love some of the old classics, and especially raceboats
- but what about some of those other old boats?
When the Warpath Apache came up for sale I was salivating and counting my pennies only to find out it sold in a few hours.
But, anyone that has owned one of these "special" boat's, the boat becomes a part of you, and does that give it a "soul"?
We all know a boat can be a finicky b!tch, and give you problems at all the wrong times...
Bear with me on this - and keep the topic going.
Boats are Biblical, and Historic, and ....
Do boats have a soul?

boats are like women, sadistic evil creatures we attempt to tame, with varying degrees of success....

02-07-2009 12:19 AMSome boats definitely have a soul. I have know some to defy reason. I talk to my boats and the ones I have raced. They have been good girls.

That's what I've always thought also.
Sounds weird, but I've always had a relationship with the boat - you can kill it, it can kill you.
Need to have a relationship.
And you can see an old hulk, and if it's the right boat, it's not ready to die. It needs to be re-built. If it's the wrong boat, it needs to be cut up.
Much like a marriage - because sometimes you're in each of those perspectives."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

I seem to treat all my mechanical things like they have a 'soul', cars, trucks, boats, etc. I praise them when they treat me good and curse them when they treat me bad. But do what I can to take care of my 'babies'

NO NO NO NO NO
And if I hear another romantic idiot look at some old piece of chit and tell me SHE's a beauty i will have to kill them.
The only thing a boat and a women have in commin is they are both money thievin souless objects lusted by us men for the pleasure we dream they will bring only to endure the pain that will ensue.

I think cars and boats have MOJO I sold a friend of mine one of my High performance cars and said don't let anyone else drive it. His cousin drove the car and destroyed the clutch. Just one of many storys.

Been dazed and confused for so long its not true,
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Lots of people talk and few of them know,
Soul of a woman was created below.

My b!tch and I have our moments. I've threatend to kill the c@nt numerous times, she has nearly killed me twice, literally. We have an agreement, she gets the attention and I get the pleasure.
