Neches Riverfest delivers excitement with Thunder on Neches boat race and festive fun

The Thunder on Neches boat race added a big splash to Neches Riverfest events.

Many Southeast Texans gathered along the Neches Riverbank Saturday to cheer on the competitors in the boat race.

More than 25 boats from across the nation participated in the races.

"We bring participants in the F-1class, which is our premier class, from California, Washington, all over Texas, Florida, so all across the U.S," said Tim Seebold, Managing Director, Formula 1 Powerboat Championship

Along with boat races, Neches Riverfest offered food, rides, concerts, and more.
