Just wanted to post the date for this year's rally. I'm sure John will be posting more details soon but I'll get the date out for him. July 11th (weekend after the 4th). The run is a charity fund raiser and it's always a good time. This will be my 4th year!

06-12-2009 11:59 AMNo american can pass up a charity event, for a cousin's wedding!! Atleast thats how I pitched it to my family!
Although, I left out the part about the charity event including bad azz boats, an awesome boat ride into Downtown Knoxville, and the great party at Calhoun's! Not to mention quite a few beers!
What they don't know, won't hurt them!

06-24-2009 08:56 PMHey Hilltop,
How many boats do you get at this run? How far do you run on the river?
I have never boated on the Tennessee river, what type of boat is popular at your rally.

Hey Morgan,
The number of boats has varied over the last few years but it's typically in the 50-60 boat range. The run has been about 100mi total in the past, it may be a little shorter this year as the course is being changed a bit.
It's beautiful down on the river and Tellico Lake. You will see everythigng from 20' sport boats to 40'+ Cats and V-Bottoms. Albert Haynesworth is usually there and I'm hoping he'll be there with his new MTI "Hell Raiser", it's incredibe!! The run is a very laid back atmosphere and fun for all. There is a Calhoun's at Ft. Loudon Marina where the run is based out of and it's got a big deck with Tiki bar where everone hangs out Friday and Saturday nights. Come check it out!

I'm proud of Duke! He's passing on the wedding for the Run!!! This year's run is in memory of Josh, a friend who had participated in the run every year that we lost about a month ago. It's a great event, hope we see you there!

Only a few weeks left. John has made a few changes to the run this year and I think it will be the best one yet. Several people at the Kentucky Lake run said they were coming If you haven't yet, put July 11th on the calendar for a trip to Knoxville.

I was out there to do a sea trial about a month ago. You guys have a beautiful area to go boating. I'm sure the run will be a great time. Enjoy!
And make sure Duunoit goes on the run!

Hey, Tom. Get this:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
Go to the above page. scroll down the page and look on the right side for "Image Resizer", and download it. Then install it on your computer by double clicking on the exe file that you downloaded. Just follow the prompts, and you are done. Once installed, go to the folder that you have your pictures in. Select which ever ones you want to resize 1 or a zillion. Then right click on the selected files, and a menu will come up. Select "resize" and then chose the size you want (1024 x 768). and click okay. the software will make resized copies of every selected picture.
(The above was copied from the BF website)
What I usually do is make a folder named SM in the one that has the large pictures in it. I put a copy of the large pictures in there and resize them turning on the advanced option that says "Resize the original pictures (don't create copies)". That way you have the SMall ones in one folder when you go to post them.
