    Hey guys,

I have scanned a bunch of photo's from Roger Munn's photo collection.
Time to share them. If anyone has any details to add, feel free.
This stuff was way before my time.

Let's start with Billy Martin's Bounty Hunter. What model of Cigarette was it?

The 40 was an extended 36 Cigarette (it needed it) You could tell from a distance it had the Wale on the side at the Sheer and the other one was a streached 35 Like LongShot a 39 with a crease in the hull side.

Red Crise was a promoter of the most outstandign and outlandish motosports festivals ever conceived by man or beast. Or so he wouldmtell us on a regular basis. He promoted midget car races back in Indiana and when he moved to Florida, he shiftedmovermto powerboats. He would make the most astounding claims just to get coverage in the newspapers. He would change the rules on you in mid race if it wasn't turning out the way he wanted. He had some kind of deal from the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism to get as much motorsport activity going and thus bring more people over from Florida. He had the Bahamas Speed Weeks for sports car racing over there. One of the ealy entrants was Roger Penske as a driver.

That's a Cigarette 39 Competition that later competed as the Fayva Shoes boat. it sold last year for peanuts and was repainted in the Bounty Hunter colors. It was running around Key West during Worlds week last November. We were out running with him- it ran really stong. The boat was due to be shipped to its new owner in France right after the races.

I thought that one had a bubble deck on it. Are you sure?

Not the same boat. The bubble decked Bounty Hunter was in Key West. This one was the flat deck.

    Great pics, keep them coming!

Bounty Hunter II was a 35 foot Cigarette with an 8 foot beam....the 40 and the 36's had 9'6" beams

Actually that's partially wrong- the boat that went on to be Fayva was one of two bubble-deck 39's, the other being Copeland's Popeyes.
