SVLCTG??? seriously..you guys are known as SVL, you have concistant turnouts and tight racing, it's easy for the non boater to understand the class. The letters SVL are distinct enough to be remembered. the name makes SENSE, a boater and non boater alike would undertand single engine/limited size = light. The name SVL is known, it makes sense, its memorable, the class is growing. It's one of the few consistant things that is working in the sport, not onlyworking but growing. If you guys collectivly don't like the "light" conotation, than change it to Super Vee Limited but SVL works, if it works, dont fix it.

As much as I agree that SVL is the way to go, you have to remember that LLC trademarked a bunch of class names hence part of the reason that OSS referred to the class formally as "Vee Lite" only and it might turn into TM infringement, something to think about and look into and quite possibly the reason that George wants to establish a different name altogether.

If you stick with SVLight, We'll stick with SV heavy. Most of the guys in our class should should be sponsored by weight watchers anyway.

Pro V works good. There was a series started in Europe a while back, Chris Whitty was running it. They ran 32 Cougars , Buzzi Seateks etc... Lots of those boats hanging around out there. Ugland lives in the Caymans he has a couple of those laying around in Norway....I am sure he would come and play.
