What is the baddest single 28 ever built?
    #1
Has to still be floating. Not neccessarily the fastest but obviously that has ALOT to do with it.

I am looking for ideas for my update and I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread about the baddest 28 single so I could get some ideas.

Also, the Pantera section is dead right now.......we need to breathe some life into it!!

DERANGED was 28ft MAGNUM rerigged in2000 with a sealed hp 500 on a stellings box with imco sc drive,, ran the 2001 APBA season.. I wanted to run f-1 but was told i was making a wrong decission so they (john) put me in p-5,, i said i don.t think you want me there,, he insisted he new what he was doing! so goes history won 7 races out of 9 ,, f-1 started about 30 or 40 seconds before p-4 and 5 i usually passed all the f-1s and ran up to the p-3 and 2s so a 1968 Magnum became the 2001 national champion.

Albert's Mig 28 comes to mind. I think he was close to 1000hp and ran into the triple digits a couple of times. I know "detuned" it was 850hp and ran 95mph!

No question...Alberts mig was the fastest 28......Him and i had that boat at 105mph in 2-3's off of Miami towards elliot key. That boat LOVED ROUGH WATER...We had that boat in swells between 10-12 footers heading out of hollover inlet...Thank god for the monster motor that boat had or else talk about 90 degree up.. the boat now lives in the panhandle and it's running in the mid 60's with a 500.....That is the BEST 28 ft around...hands down

Pics please and where is she now? How did you avoid breaking out if you were running with the P3 boats? Different rules than now?

Thanks Mike! Pantera has made lots of sweet 28's - This is what made me want to purchase the 2005 Pantera 28 with a KE Blower Motor - It was the Engine Rigging that Pantera did...

I've been in the Mig 28... 95 across Biscayne Bay with a handful of throttle left... No question in my mind.

HA!! I thought the same thing!
I don't imagine the personality changes though.
He's gotta be just as nutz as us to be the Pantera junkie that we are.

Just let me know when you and Brit want to come hang out again- for a little longer, we'll force Sean to make the run out this way - or maybe make the run out there.

I've never seen Brian Stubbefields boat run, but if the stories are true, that boat would be a strong contender for #2.

I'm personally partial to Tomas' boat though. And obviously Adam, you're boat is a bad MoFo, as well. But depends on if we're just going on looks or performance. Yours is my favorite on looks.

Wow, I'm in almost exact agreement with Sean.
Adam, yours is the baddest looking one out there - just looks sinister.
From everything I've read about the Mig, and the firsthand reports, I'm thinking she was/is one badazz machine.
The pictures of Tomas launching in the snow - that's just freaking priceless.

i have been on Brians boat and the boat is strong , runs in the mid 90's with a full cabin and 3 guys on board i would say it is one of the fastest pleasure 28's out there
