What really woke Sam out of her perpetual summertime snooze was an e-mail from Will of Irvine. He spotted a coyote AND a bobcat! Here’s what he wrote:

“I live in Irvine in the Rancho San Joaquin townhomes across from William R. Mason regional park. (Cross streets are University and Culver. ) I have seen one lone coyote twice in the past 3 weeks behind my unit walking toward the golf course in the early evening hours. What really surprised me was a bobcat walking behind my unit yesterday (Aug. 11) at about 1800 hours. What was even more odd is that he walked slowly within 5 feet of a sprinkler-repair man, showing no fear or nervousness. A large adult cat … looking very healthy.”

If you see a wild animal in Orange County (a real animal, not some yahoo who drank too much down in Newport Beach), you can share your experience with us here via e-mail at pets@ocregister.com.
Be sure to include these details:
    Street name (intersection if possible)
    City and ZIP code
    Time of sighting
Activity of coyote or other large, wild animal
    Pictures, people!

Unless the guy was being sarcastic, only half of the description sounds right...

"A large adult cat … looking very healthy"

Or maybe "looking very healthy" is a euphamism for "beer soaked"?

Was he dragging a 12 pack behind him? You might also check for bright green Croc's.

When I got home from work last night my wife was watching Caddyshack... for the first time, ever.

The pond would be good for you.
