Revered luxury yacht builder Riviera has welcomed new members to its growing global family of owners with its most successful Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show since 2008.

In a stunning $US10 million red-carpet, on-water showcase, the iconic Australian luxury yacht builder this year hosted its largest display in Miami for five years, buoyed by renewed confidence in the Americas market, a favourable exchange rate and the proactive efforts of a committed Riviera dealer network.

Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said the new owners of the 11 luxury yachts sold at the Miami show could look forward to an exciting new level of customer care, which includes exclusive invitations to social events and unique cruising experiences.

“Of the 11 purchasers, only two were existing Riviera owners and this is strong confirmation of the growing international affection for the Riviera and Belize marques, and our proven ongoing commitment to our owners to create the ultimate boating experience,” said Mr Longhurst.

“It is extremely gratifying that the purchases span the range of the Riviera Sport Yacht and Flybridge collections as well as the adventurous new SUV series … and that they involve dealers from Florida, New England and British Columbia in the United States right through the Americas and including Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Mr Longhurst confirmed Riviera’s final Miami result was likely to be even stronger with a solid sea-trial schedule across all its motoryacht collections over the next few weeks.

“Our hard-working dealers throughout the Americas are also in discussions with several more aspiring owners who were very impressed with what they saw in Miami and have indicated they will be back to see us at the 30th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show from 26-29 March 2015,” he said.

“It’s always inspiring to welcome first-time owners to the growing global Riviera family of owners and – on behalf of our 430-strong team of designers, engineers and master craftsmen in Australia, and our international dealer network that spans some 60 countries – I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to these new family members.”

Riviera’s Miami showcase included the stylish and sophisticated 6000 and 5000 Sport Yachts, the supremely seaworthy the 43 Open, 50 Enclosed and 53 Enclosed Flybridge models, a classically inspired Belize 54 Daybridge, as well as the entire Riviera SUV crossover series, comprising the adventurous 445, 515 and 565 models.

Mr Longhurst said the strengthening sales confirms the appeal of Riviera’s latest designs which embrace state-of-the-art technology, and is also recognition of the marque’s superior fit and finish.

“We look forward to continued interest following the world premiere of our majestic new 77 Enclosed Flybridge at the Dubai International Boat Show in the United Arab Emirates from 3-7 March 2015, and also at the 30th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show in Florida from 26-29 March 2015,” he said.

Riviera offers 16 different models from 36 to 77 feet across four model series: Flybridge, Sport Yacht, the new SUV collection, and the timelessly classic Belize Motor Yachts.

Throughout a rich 35-year history, Riviera has built over 5100 luxury yachts - all with the hallmark blue-water sea-keeping abilities, state-of–the–art technology and clever alfresco lifestyle concepts for which Riviera is internationally renowned.
