I figured I would start a thread on my new to me 10 meter. I am lucky and she is almost perfect. It won't take long to get her there.

I got her home and cleaned up. Art also worked my up with extra's. New red dash, nice used quadrants. A couple pair of gil manifolds and a transom assembly.

She is clean, has Troy Dennis 502's, one owner boat with all paper work, on triple Myco.
Make sure to list all the particulars.
Congrats Jim!
Gotta love the classics.
What year is she?
The good old girl is gonna get some lovin. I will get more detailed pix soon. I intend to clean her up and keep her old school.
1985. Purchased with 370 TRS, Latham steering and MYCO. In '01 she got painted and motor upgrade. She has spent a lot of time sitting in a warehouse. Of course it needs a few things, but everything works and runs great.
A couple more from the test run.

Glad you made it home safe, Jim. Can't wait to get up close and go for a ride.
No, but I spent all day with her. I found a bad bellows, pulled drive and bellhousing. Replaced u joint assembly and tail shaft bearing then took it for a ride. It is in great condition. I will have her totally perfect by next spring. For now soap, gas and water is all it needs.
So go figure. I drive for 5 hours and stop to get some sleep. Get up and drive 18 miles and loose a tire. Changed 4 get rolling 30 more miles loose another tire. Changed 2 and proceeded another 1000 miles to get home with no more problems.
Best part was when I pulled off the interstate the girl at the count says there is a shop with Tires painted on the building just up the hill.:biggrinjester:
Only lost two. But all were going away at the same time. The looked fine. It only took one heat cycle and the tread was coming off. In the grand scheme 6 15 inch tires doesn't really matter. I got lucky and got them changed quick and easy. The only reason I stopped twice was the first place didn't have 6 that matched. I now have all new skins...
Jim , you Dawggggggggg the 10 is one of my all time favorite boats along with the ICBM , enjoy :26::26:
very nice
Hey Congrats I have seen that boat before and it is very nice. I heard you and Art were out playing around. Glad you made it home and good luck with her. Are you going to do the Bimini Run with her?
No, I am already in with Freeze in his 30 Superboat. I do intend to bring her to LOTO.
had that happen to me pulling a 30' enclosed trailer from ca to indiana, two let go in the middle of nowher in nevada, tireshop/gastation in the middle of the desert soaked me $750 for 4 tires.
Cool Boat...Congrats
Sweet boat, then again I am partial to Ex's. Could be a good name--"Perfect 10"
Cool boat Jimmy, I looked at it when it was at Art's but didn't need to add to the fleet. BTW, I called over there looking for him Monday and Renee said he was out to lunch with some guy from Texas. It didn't dawn on me till about 3 who she was talking about :D
Looks great Jim. Congrats, and have some fun with that thing!
damn nice boat Jim !:)
congrats Jim. Still like those old 10's and 12's. Always thought they were great looking boats.
:cheers2:Nice I like no platform look!
Looks great Jim! Congrats!
Very nice Jim! Can't beat the lines of the 10 Meters.
That's awesome JIM! Looks great.
It was a great day, took many pix. The worst thing that happened was there was no memory card in camera. Sorry.
I am so sorry. I didn't get to keep the pix of your wife.:biggrinjester:
Cool boat, well done!
Are you going to put Network Express on the side?
Steve
No worries, Jim. I'm just surprised she jumped behind the wheel when you asked her to. I'm not that lucky and get the 3rd degree about her running the boat all the time.
There WILL be a next time.
p.s. The boat ran great and I can't wait for our next outing without the speed alarms going off!
Great lookin boat. I kinda like the older 10 & 12 meters. :)
