Pictures of the New 488 Skater Super Vee For Sale.
Was hoping you would post them here before I had to steal them from some place else.
Thanks!!
Do they use the 46' Rough Rider mould to lay that up?
.
I am only guessing and not tying to stir anything up. That being said, is it the same as the 45' Cig/Skater with a 3' bustle?
Cut it down 4 inches,,,take the platform of the back ,,stick a canopy on it and ready to rock !!!!!!!!!:sifone:

Then again, I am not writing the 7 figure check.
LOLOLOLOL:eek:
Is that the first V with a bustle?
I know I have seen lots of different "swim platform" transom styles, but I don't ever recall anything like that except on cats before.
What determines the difference?
Swim platform close to the water where a bustle is inline/flowing with the deck?
Hey guys im looking at the blue print of a Michael Peters Yacht Design for a 45 Cig ,drawing # 3 for step insert's and a typical two man canopy & when i was employed at Skater / Douglas Marine , Cig sent us there 45 mold back in 98 to have some modifications done to it which was adding step inserts to the hull mold .I have to say that when i was employed at Skater we were building Fountains and doing all types of work for other manufactures including boats for Platinum , Cig and even the Navy Seals .:bump:
It's phuking beautiful
I just don't like the way the engine hatch area behind the cockpit is that low. It's one of the things that ruins the looks of the Skaterette and now this boat. What's the reason for it?
Wasn't Spiderman a Skater/Cig/Baja Vee venture?
No Cigarette in the mix at all?
Did any boat get labeled as a Baja? Or did they simply stay Skater ?
I thought I had heard it was a Skater design/mold that was laid up and produced at the Baja facility?
Guess my memory ain't what it used to be. Doesn't seem like this was all that long ago...
I think lake cumberland has the first one made now, that was a stand up side by side engine config, with a baja designed deck. However the boat was built by skater. Baja abandoned ship on the project, and Peter then went to the staggered/ sit down design that was the Spiderman race boat. No cig influence in the 399 v, all boats were built by Skater.
To me it needs to slope downward in the back,to flat, also take the rear extention and build in a swim platform into it.

RSCHP , when i was employed at Skater we made different boats for different companies such as Platinum or Fountain, which we built the $hit out of along with doing small projects like adding step inserts to the mold on this 45 Cig and some boats even for the goverment (navy seals) .
Are there any concept renderings for the finished product and interior? I like the boat a lot but was never a fan of the way the windshields just kind of end.
Baja was developing a high-end brand before they closed. It was going to be called Faction. One was built that I know of- different deck than the Skater. It was at LCM for a while. The hull mold was destroyed.
Looks like a cool set up. It would be pretty cool to have a one and only too.
I thought the one 399 that was deemed a Cig that went to Chicago area that is owned by Mike Wern has some input from Skater. I could be wrong but it has a different deck and wider beam than any Cig that I had ever seen. This would probably be an 08 as he brought it to the CPC run in 2008. It had 1075's I believe and faster than hell!!! 130's was the rumor.
